Jennifer Hack


Jennifer Hack Wolf is the founder of Below the Fold, her solo and collaborative design thinking and content strategy consultancy. The bulk of her business centers around creating and facilitating user-centered work sessions for teams seeking better solutions. Additionally, she is the co-creator of Resilience Thinking, a curriculum where communities use the design thinking framework to explore trauma awareness. A dedicated meditator, she sees mindfulness as crucial to innovation.

Mark Logan is the founder and chief collaborator at idealect, a purpose-driven company created to increase the capacity for economic and social innovation. Prior to launching idealect in 2018, Mark founded and led Moonshot, the innovation lab at Barkley.  At Moonshot, he led the innovation practice for Barkley blending human-centered design methods and emerging technologies to create distinctive brand experiences and innovation culture programming for partners and clients. Jenn and Mark frequently collaborate to design and facilitate design thinking sessions.

Edgar Palacios

Edgar Palacios is the president & CEO of the Latinx Education Collaborative (LEC), an organization that dutifully works to increase and retain the number of quality Latinx education professionals in K-12. Edgar previously owned a nonprofit consultancy and has had the privilege of working with organizations such as Community Builders of Kansas City, Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City, El Centro,  Show Me KC Schools and the Kauffman Foundation. Below the Fold is currently partnering with LEC on an initiative that uses a design thinking framework to help sixth graders explore careers in education.


Vi Tran is a storyteller, actor, singer-songwriter, and composer/lyricist/book writer of “The Butcher’s Son,” an autobiographical refugee story and folk musical memoir. Tran is a member of the Actors’ Equity Association and the recipient of multiple artistic grants. His TEDx Talk, “The Empathetic Power of Storytelling,” details his method of using specificity in personal detail, relationships and  family lore in order to invoke empathetic audience response. Vi and Jenn collaborate on projects applying the creative perspective to branding and storytelling in the business community.


Sarah Hebert is a business leader using human-centered design to transform the way companies build products, craft experiences, and communicate their brand. Sarah enjoys growing and leading diverse and impactful teams, cultivating mindsets and tackling big complex challenges. Sarah is currently VP of strategy at mySidewalk, leveraging customer partnerships to co-innovate the future of city intelligence. Jenn and Sarah have facilitated design thinking sessions together for the Kansas City Star, Sprint and Global Service Jam. They are cocreators and organizers of the Kansas City Design Thinking Meetup.
